1. Acceptance of Terms

By inviting, adding, or using the Spell Discord bot ("the Bot"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Bot. You must be at least 13 years old (Discord's minimum age) to use the Bot. If you are under 18, you confirm you have parental/guardian permission.

2. Description of Service

Spell provides username rarity analysis, username collection browsing, server scanning, leaderboards, username comparisons, and an optional welcome DM system. The Bot is provided "as is" and "as available." We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features at any time.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Bot only for lawful purposes and in compliance with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. You may not abuse or spam Bot commands, attempt to exploit or reverse-engineer the Bot, bypass rate limits or cooldowns, scrape or harvest data, automate Bot usage with self-bots, or use the Bot to harass others.

4. Rarity Scores & Valuations

Username rarity scores are for entertainment and educational purposes only. They are algorithmic estimates, not official or financial valuations. Estimated username values are not financial advice. Actual prices may vary significantly. We are not responsible for any buying, selling, or trading decisions made based on Bot data.

5. Data & Privacy

We collect minimal data necessary for Bot functionality. Message content is processed in real-time only and is never stored. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Bot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from Bot usage, including data loss, server issues, or financial losses. Total liability is limited to the amount you paid ($0).

7. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to the Bot for violations of these Terms, violations of Discord's Terms of Service, abusive behavior, or attempts to harm or exploit the Bot. You may stop using the Bot at any time by removing it from your server.

8. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced in the Bot's support server. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada. Any legal action must be brought in courts located in Canada.

Introduction

Spell is a Discord bot providing username rarity checking and collection browsing. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

Data We Collect

Stored permanently: Server IDs, channel IDs for browser setup, and DM rarity toggle preferences.

Processed temporarily (never stored): Discord usernames for rarity analysis, user IDs when using commands, and message content for command detection.

We do not collect: Message history, personal information beyond usernames, user presence data, direct messages, voice/video data, IP addresses, or email addresses.

How We Use Your Data

Data is used solely for Bot functionality — executing commands, storing server preferences, and providing username collection browsing. We never sell or share data with third parties, use it for advertising, or train AI/ML models with it.

Data Retention & Deletion

Server settings are retained while the Bot is in your server and deleted automatically when the Bot is removed. Message content is never retained. You may request data deletion at any time by contacting us on Discord.

Security

We use an encrypted PostgreSQL database with SSL/TLS, secure cloud hosting, and access controls. While we take security seriously, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, delete, correct, and receive a copy of your stored data. To exercise these rights, contact @scrolling or @glamorizing on Discord. We respond to data deletion requests within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn we've collected data from a child under 13, we'll delete it immediately.

Compliance

We comply with GDPR (EU users), CCPA (California users), COPPA (US children), and Discord's Developer Terms of Service and Developer Policy.
